Big Thanks to the Big Give

The results are in from the Columbus Foundation’s Big Give on May 12.  The Office of Student Life’s Buckeye Leadership Fellows Program received over $17,000 which includes over $15,500 in direct gifts and just over $1,500 from the bonus pool from the Columbus Foundation.

The Buckeye Leadership Fellows Program will direct this money towards supporting program operations.  Edward Pauline, director of the program, notes this will fund three seats in the program for an entire year.  Each year the BLF program raises money ensure that at least 40 Ohio State students can participate in its two cohorts.

“We are grateful for our supporters for their continued investment in our next generation of leaders.  We are deeply appreciative of the Columbus Foundation and its work to encourage even more philanthropy in the community.  This effort remains a tremendous complement to our fundraising efforts,” said Pauline.

The Columbus Foundation’s Big Give encouraged donors to make gifts to causes they care about during a two day campaign in May. This effort led to over 13 million dollars in giving plus a 1.4 million dollar matching pool. Ohio State programs including Buckeye Leadership Fellows received at total of 1.1 million dollars.
