Buckeye Leadership Fellows Program

BLF Exceeds 2014 Fundraising Goal

February 10, 2015 by Staff

Over the last nine months the Buckeye Leadership Fellows Program has engaged in an ambitious campaign to raise $250,000 for the continued operations and growth of Student Life’s premier leadership development experience. This campaign was fueled by the generous offer from a donor who agreed to match every dollar we raise during the campaign up to $250,000.

We are pleased to report today that we have raised $331,953 – 133% more than our goal—leading to $581,931 in new resources for the program.

What has been so special about this campaign is the diversity of gifts and donors. 38 out of 40 of our current students made a personal gift towards the campaign. 6 gifts came from corporations. Overall, 130 donors participated with 227 individual cash gifts and 23 pledges.

The success of our campaign affirms the positive impact the program has on our students and with our engaged alumni and community partners.

With your help, we have built, and will continue to build, what we believe is the premier personal and professional development experience at Ohio State.

Our financial concerns are certainly not solved. Yet, we now know we can cultivate even more support to sustain and grow our efforts at Ohio State and continue to do our part to ensure our students are ready to be 21st century leaders.

On behalf of our students and staff, sincere thanks!
